About Abby

A young woman with long dark hair and a bright smile, wearing a sleeveless top with a colorful floral pattern, set against a brown textured background.

I’m a theatre maker, choreographer, and performer working across movement, devised performance, and early years facilitation. My practice is rooted in play, presence, and the belief that movement is a universal language. One that bridges ages, cultures, and ways of seeing, helping us to connect in meaningful ways.

I’ve performed in a wide range of collaborative and devised works, spanning theatre, movement, interdisciplinary performance and commercials. My work has taken me around the world, including projects in China, Singapore, Italy, Madrid, and Malaysia.

As a performer, I’m driven by curiosity, a love of play, and the joy of being fully present in live spaces. I’ve had the pleasure of working with artists and companies such as A Line Art, Hannah Lefevre, Peut-Être Theatre, Page One Theatre, and Global Cultural Alliance.

On screen, I’ve appeared in campaigns for Bumble, Sensodyne, Pokémon Battle Academy, 90 Day Fiancé UK, and Facebook

Choreographer

As a movement director and choreographer, I collaborate closely with directors and performers to shape the physical language of performance. I support performers in discovering embodied character, guide movement exploration in the rehearsal room, and work across disciplines to weave choreography seamlessly into storytelling.

I have a particular interest in choreographing for actor-musicians, and my background in contemporary dance and traditional Chinese dance deeply informs my choreographic voice.

Choreographic work includes Alice Today and Chinese Zodiac (West End in Schools), Rise and Fall (Page One Theatre), Full Fathom Five (Michael Corbidge), Follow the Leaves (I Theatre, Singapore), and Derriere Discourse (Abigail Huan, Sprouts chroreography competition finalist)

Facilitator

A group of adults and children sitting on a black cloth on the floor in a room, watching a woman with long brown hair throw a crinkled silver blanket into the air. The children are sitting and crawling, observing the woman. The room has a white kitchen with cabinets and some boxes on the top shelves, and the ceiling has fluorescent lights and an air vent.

I lead and design workshops for professional artists to early years audiences.

As a Playground Kent Session Artist, I co-create sensory movement workshops for babies and their carers. These playful, gentle sessions use music, movement, materials and touch to spark connection and engagement. I have also lead professional development workshops for Playground Kent, ASSITEJ SG and Royal Central School of Speech and Drama’s MA Applied Theatre course. Alongside ongoing training and artistic development, I’ve had the joy of sharing these sessions internationally, bringing workshops to Finland and Singapore.
